CCR Planning 1 and 2

 CCR Planning 1 and 2

Now it was time to brainstorm and plan out the creative critical reflections for my blog. This was stressful because the deadline was coming up and I have been so focused on the main project and editing that I hadn't really thought about my CCR's. I looked at the four questions and had to decide what form of media did I want to answer each in.

I am going to look at CCR 1 first. The question is How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?

The formatting I plan on using for this creative critical reflection is making a PowerPoint with my voice over it to explain it. I think a PowerPoint will work effectively for this question because the question is asking key elements that are very important to mention and talk about so with a presentation it will allow this to be done while also using visuals to further explain the conventions of horror. I will make sure to have some references to current social conventions that include elements that are crucial for media texts. My PowerPoint will not have long drawn out explanations on the slide. There will be a few bullet points on each slide with maybe a sentence or two for each. This creates the most visually appealing product. I will be voicing over it and explaining in way more depth what each point is meaning. I will write out a brief script but I do not plan on reading it word for word because that would seem robotic.

Next up is CCR 2. The question is How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?

The plan for this one is to create a podcast interview. I think a podcast will be most effective because there is a lot of explanation needed with this question and with a podcast I can create a creative way to do this. The podcast will be styled in the way of an interview. I will use myself for both voices and use a voice changer to differentiate the voices. The host will introduce the show and bring in the guest which will be me. I will act as the producer and director of The Key and we will discuss it for a few minutes. The things that would be focused on is the ways I would market and distribute the film to maximize the circulation of my product to an audience. I will also be interviewed about the different theories that can be implemented into my product and how I used the horror genre and conventions to really fit with the audience.
